The NMv organises a number of webinars for members in various specialisations. A fun, informative and educational way to get acquainted with different directions in which mediation continues to develop. You can also earn 2 PE points per webinar.

On Thursday 18 July 2024, the webinar 'Mediating Across Borders' is on the agenda. This webinar will be presented by Thomas John of Resolution2Resolve. In this webinar will be discussed, among other things the importance of international mediation, challenges of cross-border disputes, and benefits of specialized services. Participants will understand why international mediation is crucial and the specialized skills required. The role, mission, vision, expertise, and services of the NMv International Mediators are highlighted, emphasizing their positive impact on Dutch and global dispute resolution.

About Thomas John
Thomas John MCIArb practices globally as an international mediator, arbitrator, negotiator, and legal consultant. Based in the Netherlands, he is common and civil law trained and fully bilingual (English / German) and worked for governments, in private practice, for international organisations and as a diplomat. Thomas has a keen interest in resolving commercial, corporate, and investor-State disputes, but also disputes relating to MSMEs, travel and tourism, business and human rights, as well as to international organisations, their staff, contractors, and consultants. Thomas also specialises in disputes relating to art and cultural objects and a panel arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration of Art in The Hague, Netherlands.
